Are You Saved
1 John 5:13 says we should KNOW we have eternal life. Being "saved" and being "good and kind" are often interchanged by many; however, heaven is for the saved. Being saved is the BEST and MOST important blessing that we could ever receive.
God (The Father) confirmed the importance by sending his only son Jesus to die for the sins of the world (John 3:16, Rom 5:8). God (The Son) consented by commissioning his disciples to teach all nations and to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19, Mark 16:15-16). God (The Holy Spirit) complied by dwelling within us (Acts 5:32, 1 Cor. 2:12, 1 Cor 6:19, 1 John 3:24). If your answer is anything other than YES, you are missing out on the blessings that can only be found in the Lord.
Jesus paid the price for salvation, making it FREE and available to all believers. God is love and loves us and wants everyone to come to repentance and receive the gift of eternal life (Rom 6:23, Peter 3:9). Truthfully, everyone NEEDS the Lord because ALL have sinned (Rom 3:23, 1 John 1:10). Even if we don't bother others or misuse anyone, if we donate our time and money for great charitable causes, we still need the Lord and to be forgiven of our transgressions. God wants to exchange a life for a life. He wants us to exchange a life of sin, sorrow, and selfishness, for eternal life (Luke 8:23-25).
